As you navigate through our DeMite® site, you undoubtedly have become aware that one of the most strongly allergenic indoor substances is house dust …heavily contaminated with dust mite allergens, animal dander, sebaceous gland secretions from pets, numerous other out of door allergens that are brought into the house (frequently on the hair of dogs and cats).

Experts say that these play a significant role in 50 to 80 percent of asthmatic and allergic responses. Dust mite and pet allergens are so very small in size  that they are difficult to capture and dispose of.

Ordinary activities … sitting on a sofa, fluffing a decorative pillow, opening or closing drapes or curtains or just walking into a room … releases tremendous amounts of allergens. These billow into the air, circulate throughout your home where they can be inhaled to trigger symptoms.

There are locations in your home where dust mite and pet allergens are frequently overlooked. They are your sofa and other upholstered furniture, curtains and draperies.  Dust and allergens tend to collect in these areas because of the high nap of the fabrics.  Along with these allergens, dogs and cats both leave dander, and cats additionally leave huge quantities of the cat allergen Fel d 1 deposited onto upholstery.

Dust mites, in particular, thrive in these areas, especially in humid summer months or when temperatures turn cold and people spend more time indoors where they can be exposed to household dust mites and pet allergens which can trigger allergic symptoms.

DeMite® Fabric Sealer™ manages to grasp onto these allergens, contain and seal them into the fabric before they have a chance to float around in the environment. This is accomplished without negatively affecting the fabrics.

DEMITE® FABRIC SEALER™ was formulated with the intent of keeping your home environment free of dust mite allergens and pet allergens from these locations, particularly your upholstered furniture. It leaves no residue to attract additional dust or allergens and works great on most fabrics. (we do not recommend using on suede or silk).

DeMite® Fabric Sealer™ is a hypoallergenic, non-aerosol spray, obviously beneficial to those asthmatics who are sensitive to aerosol propellants. It is absolutely odor free.

A major benefit of DeMite® Fabric Sealer™ is its ability to significantly reduce or neutralize pet odors, human body odors and smoking odors.

DIRECTIONS: Test on an inconspicuous area before using. Shake can well. Hold can upright and spray lightly from a distance of 10 to 12 inches in a sweeping motion onto the fabric. One or two bursts on a given area, two or three seconds apart, should suffice. Remember: more is not necessarily better.
